OK, so travelling is not something many of us are doing at the moment. But one lovely thing about modern technology is that we can visit far-off places in unique ways.
Stonehenge is one such place. It’s been standing humbly on the stunning Salisbury Plain for thousands of years. Anything that can withstand weather of all kinds, Victorian vandalism (they chiseled chunks of the stone for keepsakes!) and just the wear and tear of being a few millennium years old is definitely worth a wee peek in my view.
Normally around this time of year, folk would be flying or driving to Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice, but as this year’s celebrations have been cancelled for safety reasons, I want to share a fun way to see it no matter where you are in the world.
English Heritage will be live streaming sunset and sunrise at Stonehenge over this weekend (20th and 21st of June). You can watch them both on their facebook page, from the comfort of your home! Pyjamas and a cup of tea, with a view of the sunset over Stonehenge…not a bad way to spend an evening. :)
Great picture! I’ll get there someday. :D
You will indeed! x
Wow, that sounds like a great idea! That would be lovely to do!
And I love that photo of Stonehenge!
It’s great to have you back!
Thank you! Great to be back! :)
This is so fun! Thank you for sharing! :D
My pleasure! :)
